Carlotta Sillano was born in Vercelli, Italy, in 1990. She graduated in Communication and Media Culture from the University of Turin with a thesis about Sound Art and she is now studying for a PhD in Digital Humanities at the University of Genova researching the semiotic relationship between places and sound, with a specific focus on the alpine environment. As a musician/songwriter, she published three studio albums with the stage name “Carlot-ta”. She has played more than 300 venues and festivals in Italy and Europe, and her songs have been included in advertising campaigns and movies.
