Daniela Amado

Daniela Amado is a Panamanian musician, director, and educator based in Reykjavik, whose work centers around breath, listening, and the voice. She holds a B.M. in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master's in Music from the Iceland University of Arts, focusing on New Audiences and Innovative Practice. Over the past five years, she has directed several productions, including Que Arranque el Rock, for which she won the »Best Sound« award at Panama’s Premios Escena. Her projects include Aquella, a self-released pop work produced by six-time Grammy winner Pablo Governatori, and Embody, Mind, Voice, an exploration of recovery of and through the voice.
