Ilaria Gadenz is a radio producer and cultural operator. She is co-founder of Radio Papesse, for which she has produced audio documentaries, podcast and numerous interviews with artists and art professionals. Since 2011, as a producer, she has supported and facilitated the work of numerous artists and authors; from 2019 to 2024 she co-curated LUCIA, a festival dedicated to the collective listening of audio narratives and between 2020 and 2024 she coordinated the Premio LUCIA initiatives as well as YASS! Mentorship and Masterclass Program for audio makers.
Radio Papesse is a web radio and online audio archive devoted to contemporary art. Founded in 2006 and curated by Ilaria Gadenz and Carola Haupt, it uses radio as an artistic tool and language; it hosts and commissions sound and radio works, inviting artists and audio makers to renew the rules of broadcasting and audio storytelling. Between 2018 and 2020, it was an associate researcher at Pratiques d'Hospitalité - Platform for critical research and political imagination at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art et Design – Grenoble Valence and is a member of the scientific committee of the Interdepartmental Research Centre in Radiophony at UNIRSM.
