Pavel Niakhayeu (MA in Sociology) is a Sound Studies and Music Sociology researcher whose interests include Belarusian music scenes, oral / digital history of music communities, political soundscape, sonic violence. Formerly – an electronic musician (pavel ambiont, Nieviadomy Artyst) and festival curator, he is currently working on a thesis on Belarusian diasporic music networks at the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland.
