Dominik Schlienger is a researcher whose topics include sustainable music technology for performance practices, and participatory design methods in technology development for the sonic arts in addition to a specific perspective on the role of technologies in social relations. Besides reporting on a development project for spatially interactivity in sonic arts, his thesis explores the ethical questions of appropriation and responsibility in the usage of technical tools. In parallel, he is founding member, project manager, and coordinator of Finnish registered association called GaiaStage Ry, An artistic research practice to develop alternative models for infrastructure projects in the music industry to explore carbon-neutral techniques for live-music stages.
