Thomas Husted Kirkegaard, PhD, is a tenure-track assistant professor of musicology at Aarhus University. His areas of research spans music analysis, Danish music history, and anthropological studies of communal singing. He serves as editor-in-chief of the series Danish Classical Music, co-editor of the Danish Journal of Musicology, and sits on the editorial board of Svensk tidskrift för musikforskning / Swedish Journal of Musicology. He is also a member of the Young Academy of Denmark.
