Marat Ingeldeev is a music journalist, critic and researcher whose writing has appeared in VAN Magazine, Positionen, Eurozine, Bachtrack, All About Jazz, Tempo and elsewhere. He co-edited a special issue of Positionen (147), co-hosted the podcast violet snow (2022–2024) and took part in the Words on Music programme at Darmstädter Ferienkurse (2023). As a researcher, Marat’s work applies aesthetics, cultural theory and philosophy to contemporary music, with a particular focus on metamodernism. He has presented at the RMA Conference, Gnesin Contemporary Music Week and ZIL Culture Centre. He holds an MA in Music from Goldsmiths.
