Thomas Husted Kirkegaard holds a PhD in Musicology from Aarhus University and is postdoc at The Danish Music Museum / National Museum of Denmark. His current research project focuses on historical Danish women composers, and he is the author of the first-ever biography on the composer Tekla Griebel Wandall (Kirkegaard, 2022). Other research interests include music theory and analysis in historical and cultural perspectives. In 2018, he was awarded the Patricia Carpenter Emerging Scholar Award by the Music Theory Society of New York State.
