Christiane Brosius is professor of Visual and Media Anthropology at the Heidelberg Centre for Transcultural Studies (HCTS). Her academic training in Cultural and Social Anthropology, Art History and Art Education (Frankfurt/Oder, Oxford and SOAS/London) is strongly related to Media and Visual Cultures in South Asia (India & Nepal), to the study of processes of urbanisation, transcultural art production and international migration.
